This race benefits the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! Currently over 900 children from Louisiana are in active treatment in Memphis and affiliate hospitals. These families will never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food. Join us for this event as FUNraiser's for St Jude pledges to raise $300,000 in 2024.
Please join us for a great morning at the world famous Jungle Gardens. The race will be held on the hard packed road that travels throughout the gardens. This will definitely be the most scenic race in Louisiana and one not to miss!
After you run the race enjoy some jambalaya provided by the Knights of Columbus from Egan La. Or step over to the world famous McIlhenny Factory to see how Tabasco products are made. Be sure to visit the gift shops for great items for your Christmas list.
Packet pick up will be at Tri Running located at 2813 Johnston St., Lafayette, La. on Friday, November 1st from 11am-6pm.

The False River Harvest Festival’s Sugar Rush 5K and 1 mile is an annual event that promotes healthy and active lifestyles by hosting a road race in the beautiful city of New Roads, Louisiana. This year’s Sugar Rush 5K welcomes all ages and physical abilities to participate in the run/walk and celebrate with while supporting a local school! Event Details:
The race starts at Madison Hall and ends at Madison Hall. It goes down the sidewalk along Rex St and E Lewis to Girard Park, where runners will do one lap around the track and go back the way they came! There will be zydeco music for people of all ages to enjoy at the finish line.

Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA has been baking up homemade sweet potato pies and frying cracklin for 30 years at our annual Creole Festival. Several years ago now we decided to get in a quick run/walk before eating delicious foods the rest of the weekend. Our inspiration for Rooted in Love comes from our heroes, and their families, for giving life and hope to those in need. Their gifts are the roots that have continued the incredible growth of this event and extended awareness in our community.
We highly encourage pre-registration. The event will begin at 9am. We hope to see you there! Early bird registration is $40 and will be $50 after that.
