Pelican Timing Services is a race timing company based out of Lafayette, LA. Our timers have 14 yrs of timing experience.

Pelican Timing Services offers professional timing using the latest technology for timing and scoring services for running, triathlons, duathlons, swimming and biking events throughout the South.

We utilize RFID ULTRA DISPOSABLE TIMING SYSTEMS for cycling, running, and multi sports race events. 

We offer many services which includes Online Registration, at no cost to the Event or Organizer, Live Results designed for smartphones.  Results Kiosk, with individual result printouts.   Learn more about our Services.

Runners Registering for the Full, Half or Relay sign up for the 5K Race at a discounted combo rate. Runners registered for a Sunday event & the 5K event will receive a separate Race Bib & Race Shirt for Saturday & Sunday. 
This event will be Chip Timed by Pelican Timing

1 Mile:
All Participants receive Race Bib, Finisher's Ribbon (upon completion of the race) on Saturday, March 15th, 2025
This Race is reserved for children 12 years & under.
If an adult is registered for any other Zydeco event on Saturday or Sunday, their children under the age of 12 may run for $10. 
This event will not be timed.

Hopefest 5K & 1 Mile Run - Saturday, 3/15/25 In Person Race

Hopefest 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run is a charity race benefitting special needs children through the STM Options Program. We are excited that we will be having the race at the Youngsville Sports Complex Slemco Amphitheatre this year!
We will have a 1 mile loop for walkers, children, and strollers. All proceeds go to support special needs kids through the STM Options Program.   Not a runner, then come out and stroll for a good cause and enjoy all the festivities.
 
Teams - New for this year!
Create a Run/Walk Team and invite your family and friends to join your team.  Once the 5th member registers, the first 4 members will receive a $5 refund on their registration.  Then everyone after that that joins the team will only pay $25 for their registration.  The team with the largest number of members will win a prize.
 
Pre-registration cost is $30 and the walk up rate is $35.
Pre-registration ends on March 13th, 2025 at 7:00pm. 
 
Race t-shirts are guaranteed if registered by 3/5/25.  After that date it will be "first come first serve" of what is left after the race on race day.
 
Stick around after the race for the all-day Hopefest music festival right there. Boiled crawfish, jambalaya, BBQ, fun jumps, face-painting, kids games, and much more.
 
Parking available at the Sports Complex. 
 
Packet Pickup:
 
Packet Pickup will be held at Geaux Run on Friday, March 14th from 2 pm till 6 pm.  We will have packet pickup on race morning at at the Youngsville Sport Complex Slemco Amphitheatre starting at 7:30 am.
 
Awards:
For the 5K:  Award certificates will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in all age groups. Cash prizes will be given to the overall winner in the male and female category.

Zydeco Marathon 26.2 Full | 13.1 Half | Half Relay - Sunday, 3/16/25 In Person Race

Ochsner Lafayette General Zydeco Marathon and Half Marathon events are USATF sanctioned.  The courses are USATF certified for accuracy and the race is a qualifying event for Boston Marathon and other events requiring an official qualifying time! 
 
The Ochsner Lafayette General Zydeco Planning Team strives to provide participants with a fun, safe, and memorable event.  Courses are well marked with signage and cones.  The routes are heavily staffed with volunteers and traffic control officers.  Hydration stations are well staffed and regularly spaced at approximately 1.5 mile intervals.  Medical staff are located at the finish line and EMS services notified of the race in advance for quick service if needed. 

FULL MARATHON:
All Participants receive Race Bib, Race Bag, Sunday's Race Shirt, Finisher's Medal (upon completion of the race) & Food, Drinks & Music at the Finish Line Festival on Sunday, March 16th, 2025
Must be 16 years or older on Race Day to Participate

The 5K Shamrock Run is a community event fun for the whole family to enjoy in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day! Great opportunity to run on the last mile of the historic Wearin' of the Green St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Baton Rouge. This is the 6th year for the Shamrock Run and we love the excitement it generates! 
Crossing the finish line is just the beginning! Join us for a fabulous after party behind Moreau’s and don’t forget the 40th Wearin' of the Green, St. Patrick's Day Parade rolls immediately after the run.  WEAR YOUR GREEN!

- Early bird fees start at $35. Join us for another fantastic run on the last mile of the historic Parade Route! Registration fees start increasing January 1, 2025.
