Pelican Timing Services is a race timing company based out of Lafayette, LA. Our timers have 14 yrs of timing experience.

Pelican Timing Services offers professional timing using the latest technology for timing and scoring services for running, triathlons, duathlons, swimming and biking events throughout the South.

We utilize RFID ULTRA DISPOSABLE TIMING SYSTEMS for cycling, running, and multi sports race events. 

We offer many services which includes Online Registration, at no cost to the Event or Organizer, Live Results designed for smartphones.  Results Kiosk, with individual result printouts.   Learn more about our Services.

Description:
Neches River Festival will be hosting their 6th annual Capes and Crowns 5K Run/Walk
Event Details:
There will be a kids 1 Mile Fun Run starting at 8:30 am with the 5K race beginning at 9:00 am.  This is a flat course through downtown Beaumont and is suitable for experienced runners and kids alike.  There will be light refreshments before and after the race and water stations along the race route.  All participants will receive custom race medals. The overall male and female winners will receive an additional prize and the top three males and females in each age group will receive an additional winner’s medal.     
 

Age Groups:
1-14,15-19,20-29,30-39,etc. 70+
 
Awards:
Top Overall Male & Female plus 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male & Female in each age group
 
All registrations include:

Lundi Gras Beer Mile - Monday, 3/03/2025 In Person Race

Beer Mile starts at 3pm
 

The Beer Mile is to benefit Paula Bonin's cancer fight.  

The 1st Annual Lundi Gras Beer Mile will be 4 laps of fun. A beer mile for those that don’t know involves 4 quarter mile laps drinking a beer before each lap. Should the beer make its way from inside your stomach back to the outside world, you will run an extra lap.

This year we will be running to help my Mom out with her cancer battle. She was diagnosed with lung cancer last year and had a large portion of her lung taken out. She started feeling better and went back to work and they found a swollen lymph node. She has just recently finished up her chemo and radiation and has not been able to work. So come have some fun and support a great cause and stay for the after party and the parade. 

 
Registration Fees:
Cost is $30 includes a t-shirt and beers on the course. Due to the late nature of the event, we will do our best to get everyone a t-shirt but it won't be a guaranteed size.  We will have 100 available on site race day.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY COLOR 5K RUN AND WALK.  WE WANT TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO WEAR GREEN.  WE WILL HAVE COLOR STATIONS ALONG THE ROUTE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO HAVE THE GREEN POWDER THROWN ON THEM.  THOSE PARTICIPANTS WHO DO NOT WANT THE COLOR CAN BY-PASS THE STATION.

LSU-E Color Dash 5K Run - Saturday, 3/08/2025 In Person Race

The Color Dash 5k is returning to the LSUE campus on Saturday, March 8th. This event is open to students, employees, their families, and the community. All ages are welcome to participate. Run, jog, or walk the beautiful campus of LSUE and pass through bursts of color at stations along the route.

The focus of the Color Dash 5k is less about competition but to focus more on fun, fitness, and community spirit. Feel free to create or join a student team, LSUE department/employee team, or a team for your organization or business.
 

Registration Fees (Early & Late Fees & dates):
Early - $25 up until Friday, February 28th.

Late - $35 from Saturday, March 1st to Wednesday, March 5th.

LSUE Students are Free to register for the race.  LSUE students must be registered for class and have a current LSUE student ID.

T-shirt sizes are guaranteed  if you register by Feb. 27th.
